today brought me joy.

my friend kerry and i both finished the artist's way a while ago,
and we also both just adopted pets.
this was a big deal for both of us.
not just a random decision-----
it has affected deep parts of who we are.....
its affecting the spiritual and the emotional,
its healing identity issues,
its been a place to give and receive love,
a place to practice surrendering control,
and perhaps we should write a book about it because the list goes on.
lots has been stirring.
so we needed our pets to meet.
solution: pet date.
i brought cosmo over to her house,
she made us lunch,
and we had the best time.
both Hoss and Cosmo have gone through turbulence,
they both are pretty timid and are working through their own issues,
but both of them somehow lit up and loved their lives at the pet date.
neither freaked out.
i think they really like each other.
maybe partly because kerry and i like each other yet are very different.
it somehow just works.
-- so hoss folds his hands in a heart. animal uniqueness is something i never really noticed until i got my own. kind of melts my heart, but still feels funny to be admitting it.
kerry!!!! you are the cutest.
ahh! hoss! YOU KILL ME.
do we love his travel cage or what?? took me three cage purchases to discover this one. its so him.
(or so me. which i am now projecting onto him.)
i love taking what you get with the self-timer. all awkward angles and expressions. receive,
showstopper.
