it's my mom's birthday!
i think she's about 52. (53?)

one of the reasons i love her, is because she doesn't freak out about getting older.
she won't care that i wrote her age.

she told me the other day that in 10 years, when she has wrinkles, she's going to cut her grey hair short and wear it spiked.  MOM I LOVE YOU. i told her to do it now........ and she said she had to wait for the wrinkles.

another reason she's awesome, is that she doesn't look 52. she looks about 42. and she has five kids. you'd think that would wear you down a bit. nope! not my mom. she's bright and chipper as ever.

i call her when i feel like my life is going nowhere, i call her to tell her about hot dates, i call her to ask advice, i call her when i'm sick.  mom, you say you're not nurturing, but i think maybe that was a thing of the past.  you're nurturing.

another reason. she's a life coach, an author, an editor, a consultant, and a speaker! yup. for real. she has written a book. i know.

and she loves my blog, she says my writing is the best part, which is why i'm letting this go on and on. i really could write forever, like i did two days ago, and she seems to love every minute of it. if she's the only one who can appreciate it, then hey. success.
