i keep talking about my mentor sessions,
because,
that has been my life for the past month.
10 per week,
10 chances to dive right into the grit of life through the medium of photography.
i went to san luis obispo 2 weeks ago and was able to fit in a mentor session with jennifer at her house! the sessions are usually at my house, or over skype------- but i made a special little exception with jennifer because i was in the area (and.......... secretly wanted to see her cool house.)
derek van oss was with me in san luis, and was super nice and offered to photograph the session happening. we had to be there at 9am so i woke up at 7am and got ready in 2 minutes to run out the door for breakfast. this is me in the reality of me. i think most everyone in the class saw me unshowered, in my yoga clothes, wearing this same sweater. show the edges. live the grit.
