okay, my MIA explanation: i take a while to recoup from trips! its kind of hilarious.  canada was amazing, i enjoyed seeing tall canadian trees and soaking up time with my dad and spending some time just breathing. it was a great trip.

when i got back, rosanna was on a baking kick, which included lemonade from scratch. how pretty is this lemonade escapade? it made the days happy.
brush script in my kitchen anyone?  i always forget that i designed a logo for my dorm floor in college using brush script, but i back it up by saying that it was intended to give an 80's Saved by the Bell vibe, which it was. the Max!!  but i still get a crack up drinking out of my Max mug and then seeing it shining in my kitchen while drying.

peace to you,
enjoy today :)

Aw, The Max. Good, good times...

Shannon! Have I told you I love your site? I'm following it from the interweb cafes of Burma [hey, if you ever have a contest involving readers who live in the best parts of the world...can I enter? :)] It adds sparkle and color to my otherwise monsoon-y days. Thanks for sharing the things you See with us on the other side of the world.

my dad and i are on a little vacation in the truly beautiful, Vancouver, BC!
i lived here until i was 13, so its fun to visit the place i grew up.

we stayed at the Listel Hotel last night, and the first thing i noticed upon walking in the room was the coffee order form. they offer free french pressed coffee delivered right to your room.  i think i just fell in love with a hotel.

we went on a little walk around the harbor.....................................

and i saw some great brush script, and decided to begin a collection of the worst font to ever exist. yes, i hate it more than comic sans, because it is used SO POORLY, everywhere. it hurts me.

so here i am in beautiful british columbia, loving my french pressed coffee and hating brush script, and about to go to WHISTLER!

more to come!
shan & her dad!

Uggg...Brush Script! I agree - worse than Comic Sans. Though I got sick of a font while I was in college called P22 Cezanne - it was EVERYWHERE in like 2002-2004!

I would have to agree that Papyrus is the worst font ever. But Brush Script is pretty bad as well. :)

i made this bowl in my ceramics class.... its my daily reminder to embrace the quirks. :)  someone almost threw away my little pretzel things while they were drying.... thank goodness i rescued those little guys.

basically every morning for breakfast i have granola, berries and honey greek yogurt and coffee------- it starts the day off with a burst and makes it happy.
