once a week i'm taking you on a journey into my photographic past-----------
showing you things from my old blog that you might not have seen.

this week it's jen and jon!
i love their ability to relax and have genuine fun,
i love jen's style that felt effortless,
i loved their perfectly-them details, from the lemon centerpieces to the awesome red barn.

here you go :)
enjoy,
0293.jpg

i remember noticing so many little details around the house that i thought would be good for a ring shot, but when i saw these mini bottles in the bathroom and my eyes went wide.  i borrowed them for a while and set them up on the piano bench in the living room.  i love this photo.

i always ask the groomsmen what they want to do for their photos and this is what these guys came up with.  amazing.

love this one!
0292.jpg

i think i took at least 100 photos of these centerpieces! not exaggerating.

i just got a big shipment of albums in and needed to show you.
colors just delight me.
textures? obsessed with them.
these albums have THE most perfect covers ever.
and! they are SO CUTE! they're tiny... either 4x6" or 5x5".
i really want to keep all of them just to look at....
but they are for my pretty clients.

they have super thick mat-board pages,
they're classy,
they're simple,
they're fun.

they are available to anyone--- not just my wedding clients----- let me know if you're interested!

katie's wedding had every detail planned out to the max. it was said many times throughout the day that she had been planning this since she was a little girl------ and i could tell! every, single, thing was accounted for.  and it paid off.  this wedding was fab.  they were married at south coast botanic gardens in palos verdes, and even though it was SUPER COLD (for california....), it was a lovely day.  enjoy these!

Judy and  HK have both been patiently waiting for a long time to get married. they have each had friends and family rooting for them.... also patiently waiting for THE ONE to come along.  they met at a mutual friend's christmas party last year and are beyond, BEYOND! excited to finally be married.  their wedding day was full of celebration and fun.  enjoy these!

cotton candy, with a real cotton candy maker.  ding ding! love it!!

instead of a bouquet toss, there was a bouquet polka.  beat that, creativity.

a party in the park,
with all their friends and family,
= a day worth waiting for. :)

love to you!

with their ceremony at a pretty white church and their reception at a place called quail gardens, the wedding day of jane and alex was perfectly them.  classy, elegant, lovely, and totally them.  the girls were such a blast, totally relaxed and fun, the guys made me laugh more than i ever have with a group of groomsmen...(can we say, shadow puppets?), their families were the sweetest, and to top it off---- jane hand-made practically every detail.  down to the cookies as thank you gifts.  i had such a great day, such pretty unexpected moments came to me throughout their wedding....  and here are some of my faves.

say hello to megan and phil martin!
such a lovely wedding. wow.
natalee lopez coordinated the day and totally made it shine. blythe and i marveled at every detail.

megan is so sweetly sweet,
she has such glam-elegance that still has sweetness.
and phil...... i hope he doesn't mind me saying this, but he was tearing up the whole day which made ME cry the whole day.  tons of emotion was everywhere, covering the whole spectrum from wild to quiet.

Megan looked SO PRETTY!!!

and phil has the BEST SMILE.  i cannot say enough good things about this guy.  he has such a positive spirit, such a gentle way of loving megan..... and ahh!  he's just great.
00034.jpg

this was definitely the first time i've done photos in a wine cellar, and it ruled.
00035.jpg

they saw each other before the ceremony, which did an amazing job at calming nerves and bringing a sense of relaxation and fun.  they had this sweet moment right before she walked down the stairs and saw him though----- so close, but they hadn't seen each other yet. anticipation to the max.....!

(how cute are they?)
00040.jpg
this is one of my ultimate all time favorites. oh, my, lanta.
00041.jpg
the wedding was held at Megan's aunt & uncle's home in Upland.
the catch was: it literally felt like we were in Tuscany.  increds.
00042.jpg
00043.jpg
the details at the reception were incredible.  megan is really into earthy, mossyness...
aren't these engraved flower boxes stunning?

eric trine was the dj, and he honestly put on the best dance party i've seen in a long time.
he's amazing, and if you're into having a BLAST------------ hire him!
00045.jpg

congratulations you guys!!!
